The area is situated on the slopes of Mount Subasio, with vineyards ranging from 180 to 750 meters above sea level. The region benefits from a continental climate with warm summers and well-drained soils, primarily composed of calcareous, marly, and sandy-clay deposits. The IGT allows for the production of white, red, and rosato wines, which are typically characterized by their harmony and regional typicity. The disciplinare emphasizes traditional viticultural practices and allows for the use of any grape variety authorized for cultivation in the Umbria region.
