About the wine

The Colli del Limbara IGT covers a vast area in northeastern Sardinia, primarily centered on the Gallura region. The territory is defined by its distinctive granitic soils and a Mediterranean climate influenced by both coastal proximity and the elevation of the Limbara massif. The IGT allows for a wide range of wine styles, including white, red, and rosato, as well as frizzante and novello versions. Production is characterized by traditional viticultural practices, with vineyards ranging from sea level up to 500 meters. The disciplinare permits the use of any grape variety authorized for cultivation in the Sardinia region, provided they are registered in the national vine variety catalog. This flexibility allows producers to express the unique terroir of the Gallura granitic landscape, which is known for its low-nutrient, sandy-loam soils and the aromatic influence of the surrounding Mediterranean scrubland.
