Moscato di Sorso
About the wine
The Moscato di Sorso-Sennori DOC, located in the historic Romangia region of northwestern Sardinia, is a specialized appellation dedicated to the Moscato Bianco grape. This historic viticultural area, characterized by volcanic and sedimentary soils and a Mediterranean climate, produces four distinct typologies: a standard white, a passito, a liquoroso, and a spumante. The wines are noted for their intense aromatic profile, typically featuring floral and fruity notes, with the passito and liquoroso versions developing complex characteristics of honey, dried fruit, and almonds. The production is strictly limited to the communes of Sorso and Sennori, where traditional cultivation methods and specific winemaking techniques—including the option for partial dehydration of grapes—ensure a high-quality, expressive product that reflects its unique coastal terroir.
