About the wine

The Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT covers a significant portion of central Tuscany, spanning the provinces of Arezzo, Firenze, Pistoia, Prato, and Siena. This denomination allows for the production of white, white frizzante, red, red novello, and rosato wines. The area is characterized by hilly terrain, typically between 200 and 400 meters above sea level, with a sub-humid climate. The disciplinare is highly permissive regarding varietal composition, allowing a wide range of international and indigenous grapes, provided they are authorized for cultivation in the Tuscany region. Producers may label wines by one or two varietals, provided the primary grape constitutes at least 85% of the blend, or both grapes are clearly identified in descending order. The IGT is designed to accommodate the diverse viticultural traditions of the region, focusing on the expression of local terroir through both traditional and international varieties.
