About the wine
Maremma Toscana DOC is a versatile and expansive appellation covering the entire province of Grosseto in southern Tuscany. Established as a DOC in 2011, it reflects the region's diverse terroir, ranging from the Tyrrhenian coast to the inland hills. The denomination is notable for its flexibility, allowing for a wide array of varietal wines—including international grapes like Cabernet, Merlot, and Syrah, alongside traditional Tuscan varieties like Sangiovese, Vermentino, and Ansonica. The wines range from fresh, aromatic whites and vibrant rosés to structured, age-worthy reds, as well as specialized styles like Vin Santo, Passito, and late-harvest wines.
