Bagnoli di Sopra DOC, also known as Bagnoli, is a historic Venetian appellation centered around the town of Bagnoli di Sopra in the province of Padua. The area is defined by its alluvial soils and a unique microclimate influenced by the nearby Euganean Hills and the Adriatic Sea, which provide essential ventilation and thermal regulation. The DOC is notable for its diverse range of wines, including whites, reds, rosés, and sparkling wines, as well as the traditional 'Vin da Viajo,' a fortified wine historically favored by Venetian fleets. The white wines are recognized for their sapidity and freshness, often incorporating Raboso Piave to enhance acidity and aging potential. The reds, ranging from Merlot and Cabernet to local varieties like Turchetta and Refosco, are characterized by their mineral-driven complexity, structure, and ability to evolve with age. The production is deeply rooted in the legacy of the Benedictine monks, who established the area's viticultural standards centuries ago, emphasizing meticulous vineyard management and high-quality standards that persist today.

The production area covers the entire territory of the communes of Agna, Arre, Bagnoli di Sopra, Battaglia Terme, Bovolenta, Candiana, Due Carrare, Cartura, Conselve, Monselice, Pernumia, S. Pietro Viminario, Terrassa, and Tribano, all located in the province of Padua, Veneto. The 'Classico' sub-zone is restricted to the municipality of Bagnoli di Sopra.
